When we began work with Dating Without Drama, their site was receiving about 350-450 organic visitors per day. They’d focused heavily on AdWords traffic, and had decent success with some high-traffic keywords. They hadn’t made any focused efforts on search engine optimization at this point; they’d simply built a site that they were passionate about and applied what they knew about marketing to promote it.

We took the data they’d gathered through paid advertising and started with some basic keyword research. After identifying the most valuable keywords for their niche and laying out a new site architecture, we began our technical audit. We identified a few errors, but they were quickly resolved and ultimately proved to be a very small part of the SEO work to be done.
As they launched their redesign, Dating Without Drama noticed that its conversion rate had dropped off significantly when they added community elements to the site, including a blog, a forum, and other free content. Therefore, in their re-launch, they intended to do away with the free content as much as they could while continuing to drive business. This proved to be a challenge as a great deal of SEO relies on content and freshness, but with a custom strategy we were able to increase their organic traffic by leaps and bounds, bringing in more revenue and fueling brand awareness.
After some redesigns went live on the site, our link building team started getting guest post gigs with some industry bloggers, resulting in high-quality, relevant backlinks to the site. After the links “matured” a little (ie: Google found them and we were continuing to build more), we saw significant increases in rankings for the terms we identified in the research phase.
In the time we worked with Dating Without Drama, their organic traffic increased, they landed spots on the front page for some heavily competitive terms, and their daily search impressions doubled from about 2,000 to over 4,000.
